10 More Motivational Songs To Keep You Amped And Focused

Now, if you ‘ve been reading or watching most of the stuff I do on a regular basis, you know that when I’m on fire… im on fire! But there’s something you should know!

I most often require motivation and inspiration. Where I derive these from is most often from music. As a past (recovering DJ), I find many feeling and deep thoughts in music that most would often over look. But as you are about to see… these songs actually speak to you even when most have no words at all.

Some of the songs will inspire you to dream about things, think about things and even fire you up. You can use these while at the gym, while writing or even when just relaxing (I use them for all of the above).

The point is… I want your LIFE to be as EPIC as possible. I want you to achieve everything you want out of this life and I entend to provide you methods and ways to do so. I want you to be able to be equiped with things to help you along you way, when things get tough or when things get you down… I want you to know that I’ve been there too and here are some tools I use to keep me going.

Are you ready to be motivated and inspired to keep you amped and focused? I sure hope so!

Make sure to listen to each one of these all the way through. If you find yourself wanting to jump and wondering off into space thinking about cool things or places you want to do or things you’d like to experience… then I’ve done my job. Now get out there and make it happe.

Do that new video, write that new blog post or even inspire or help others who surround you. In the end… if you are not helping those around you to live a better more fulfilled life and being happy while doing it… then you are simply wasting your time. Make your time and life worth it.

    Hey dereck this is awesome! I’m a music-lover myself and most of the time I listen to different songs depending on my mood. Sometimes when I’m burned out at work I pause for 5-10 minutes and just listen to 2 or 3 favorite songs and then I’m good to go again.

      It’s a plugin called Audio Player. Really easy to install and use. Just upload the song to your server and identify the direct link with the plugin on your posting or page. Done and done! :D

        Dereck, are all of those songs royalty free licensed? Those look like commercial tracks to me, making uploading them and using them like this not being in compliance with the law if so. If itunes allows you to embed them per their own embed tool or per purchased rights you know you have, that’s cool but we have to be super careful with the law regarding commercial tracks.

    Dereck I am embarrassed to say that music has never been a great passion for me. What I am saying is that it would not be my choice to go to a concert for a night out although I do get taken sometimes.

    When it comes to motivation though, it pays a huge part. There is nothing better than listening to some motivational music to get me in the mood to get things done. You have some excellent choices here.

    Hi Derrek,

    Thanks for the list. Recently I put together a playlist of songs I thought were inspirational. My list started with 35 songs. Most of them were good picks, however, some of them were far from inspirational when I really listened and understood some of the lyrics. Many songs are suppressive and expired rather than inspired.

    I had to revamp parts of the list by eliminating some of them and replacing them with instrumentals and classical pieces. We can create our own lyrics and that seems to be the best for me. Thanks for sharing your list. I will love to add some of these to mine!

    Music is a very important part of my life. Music is my medicine and I definitely use if for an number of different things, including motivation. Can’t say I listen to any of these for motivation but if it works for you then that’s all that matters :-)

    It is amazing the wonderful power of music is t the human soel. I forget sometime theat just taking a few moments to listen to some inspiration music to set me on a path that I didn;t know that I was going to go to. One piece of of music that I do listen to when I get a little down is Don’t Rain on My Parade, the Streisand version. That one always gets me back into a better frame of mind.

    Thanks for the video and the great pieces of music above.

    I believe that music, more than any other art form, can have the most powerful and quick impact on our state. Even with film, the most powerful moments are supplemented with music as well.

    It’s amazing that we can create playlists on an iPod that can instantly help turn around a negative state or make a positive one even more powerful.

    Actually, I have always worked with music. And now with things like Pandora, it’s pretty easy to find a music genre and just forget about it.

    But it certainly lacks the inspirational factors of the songs on your list!

    Hello Dereck, this is very interesting. I’m not familiar with the songs I listened to above, but am going to check out the rest of them as well. I use music for motivation when I’m doing tasks around the house that aren’t in and off themselves very interesting – such as cleaning up and washing clothes. :)

    Awesome video, Dereck.. very powerful.

    It’s so funny that I came across this post today. I used to believe that I needed quiet to work at my best.

    But recently, I’ve started using Pandora on my computer to play songs that inspire me to bigger and better things. Pandora has created my own station of sorts, songs that I find truly motivational and moving.

    It takes a while to guide Pandora to the kind of songs that you want, but now I have motivational music from my computer speakers at my fingertips.
