Joe Rogan For Motivation & Inspiration

Posted on 29. Aug, 2011 by in Motivational

*** Please don’t be little the message or talk about the vulgarity in the video (THERE IS A CLEAR WARNING). If hearing anything regarding the issue or language held inside of the video disturbs you… please leave and don’t reply with a childish response like “I hate vulgarity, so I’m not going to listen” or what ever nonsense you come up with. Then this simple message isn’t for you so move on!PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT!!!***

WARNING: EXPLICIT LANGUAGE!

NOTE: The picture above was taken at the Canyon Club in Agoura Hills CA sometime in 2010. We were both drinking a little bit – Don’t judge us, hater! :D

You might know him from Fear Factor, Ultimate Fighting Championship, his stand up comedy or maybe his pod cast?

Anyway you look at it, Joe Rogan has his hands all over the place and is regarded (by myself and more) to be one of the most open minded and expressional people out there today.

I recently came across a short video recording of some motivational thoughts and experiences he recently shared on in his pod cast. Feel free to listen and if you can take a little “Adult Language” then this might be some of the most powerful words of wisdom you receive today.

Enjoy!

Wow I loved this. Thank you for introducing me to Joe Rogan. This was such a powerful podcast. A lot of people need to here this, wake up and smell the coffee.

Jealously is such a two edged sword, you can ever become the hater or the inspired. I know what I would choose to become. But I also remember the time when I have felt jealous and helpless.

Thank you so much for sharing. I loved it.

I love his definition of haters… unrealized potential. I catch myself now and again stumbling across someone that is doing great and I get that thing in my stomach. To use Joe’s vernacular…. “F*** look what they’re doing.” And I immediately notice it comes from a negative place.

Sometimes it’s jealousy, but other times it’s an inferiority complex. “I could never do that.”

What do you do Dereck, when you catch yourself doing that? How do you shift your perspective? I want my initial reaction to be that of inspiration.

    Dereck,

Although I don’t usually like hearing vulgarity, these 2 guys were having a real conversation, sharing how they really feel about what it takes to succeed. I know they are affecting a lot of people, even though they will also turn off many others. They may just reach some people who are wasting their lives and need this jolt to snap out of it and do something brilliant.

    Derrick,

Not that I haven’t heard these words before and use them on occasion myself, but it so detracts from the message. Just couldn’t get through it. How powerful it could have been if the explicit language was left out? Too bad.

The only thing I can say is, sometimes real talk is the best talk. The whole point that a person would rather be jealous than motivated by someone who is doing better then them is a sad truth. I am starting to believe these people are more upset with themselves, but rather direct they frustration apon others. If they would just take that some energy and apply it to what they need to do, they would not have any time to be jealous or envyous. They would be to busy accomplishing they goals in life. I love this post!
